Safety Checks for rescue devices

what do you do if you reach the end of safety checks and realize that you missed a step?

stop and perform the Safety Checks again from the beginning.

SAR MEDEVAC LITTER

(Prior to signaling for helo) -carabiners, red to head, white to feet -survivor tight and secure inside four restraining straps. -signal helo (after hook up to double rescue hook) -two lifting V rings attached to large end of double rescue hook -Up helo (holding on to side of litter, signal helo (up hoist) until litter is parallel to and just above the surface) -signal helo (cease hoisting) (fix side loaded carabiners and push survivor flotation under the litter slings) -ALL CABLES clear and taut (grab trail line and flutter kick back) -up helo (hand over hand keep trail line taut)

RESCUE NET

-one lifting ring attached to large end of double rescue hook -four support rods down and locked -survivor completely inside net -cable clear and taut -up helo

RESCUE BASKET

-one lifting ring attached to large end of double rescue hook -survivor completely inside basket -cable clear and taut -up helo

RESCUE SEAT

-one lifting ring attached to large end of double rescue hook -survivor seated on fluke -safety strap tight and secure around survivors back -swimmer seated on fluke -safety strap tight and secure around swimmers back -cable clear and taut -up helo
