Base SI unit

Siemens or mho

The SI unit for electric conductance, the symbol for one Siemens is S, and it can be expressed as A/V or m^-2 x kg^-1 x s^3 x A^2. It is the exact opposite of the Ohm.

Volt

the SI unit for Electric potential difference, and electromotive force, the symbol for one Volt is V, and it can be expressed as W/A or m^2 x kg x s^-3 x A^-1. Named after Alessandro Volta after he invented the electrical battery. can be defined as Watts per Ampere.

Joule

the SI unit for Energy, work, or quantity of heat. the symbol for one Joule is J, and it is expressed as N x m or m^2 x kg x s^-2. Named for James Prescott Joule when he formulated the law of conservation of energy, and developed the first law of thermodynamics.

Hertz

the SI unit for Frequency, symbol Hz and is expressed as 1/S, one hertz is defined as one cycle per second aka crest of the wave to the next crest, or how many times a wave passes a specific point in one second. Named for Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, who was the first person to provide conclusive proof of the existence of electromagnetic waves. The frequency of visible is referred to as color, and ranges from 430 trillion hertz (red) to 750 trillion hertz (violet)

Ohm

the SI unit for electric resistance, the symbol for one Ohm is capital Omega, and can be expressed as V/A or m^2 x kg x s^-3 x A^-2. It is the exact opposite of the Siemens.

Newtons

the SI unit for force it is equal to the amount of net force required to accelerate a mass of one kilogram at a rate of one meter per second squared, and the symbol for one Newton is N. Named for Sir Isaac Newton. it is expressed as m x kg x s^-2

Watt

the SI unit for power, and radiant flux. the symbol for one watt is W, and it is expressed as J/s or m^2 x kg x s ^-3. it is named after james watt, for his contribution to the steam engine. Defined as the amount of joules per second, so 1W=1J/1s. it can also be defined as the current flow of 1 Ampere with a voltage of 1 Volt.

Pascal

the SI unit for pressure, internal pressure, and stress. the symbol for one Pascal is Pa, and it is expressed as N/m^2 or m^-1 x kg x s^-2. Named for Blaise Pascal, and is defined as one Newton per square meter.

Coulomb

the Si unit for electric charge, and quantity of electricity, and the symbol for one Coulomb is C. It can be expressed as s x A. Named after Charles-Augustin de Coulomb for his formulation the Coulomb's law, which deals with electrostatic interaction between electrically charged particles.
