The Muslims fought against themselves. It decrease the number of them. Also the crusaders argued and during that, the Muslims recaptured some of their lands.

Their lord would think it was a reasonable excuse. Some knights were granted the land that they conquered. Also, the church offered immediate salvation.

People had different beliefs, Jerusalem was run by Muslims, it was the end of feudalism and growth of kings, the Jews and Christans were persecuted, military technology improves, people wanted to travel to forgiven lands, and cities grew which increased trade.
