Voltage

A electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts. The ratio of 2 voltages

Current

A flow of electric charge in a circuit

Why do we have Alternating Currents?

AC allows us to change the Voltage.

Direct Current(DC)

An electric current flowing in one direction only. (Ex- Battery)

Alternating Current (AC)

An electricity current that reverses direction at regular intervals (Ex- Outlet in wall)

Parallel

Two lines that are parallel, or never intersect/When something is similar, or happening at the same time.

Conventional Currents

moving in the same direction as the positive charge flow. electric charge moves from the positive side of the battery to the negative side.

Electromagnet

A device consisting of an iron or steel core that is magnetized by electric current in a coil that surrounds it.

Why do we have Direct Currents?

DC are used in low voltage applications such as charging batteries, aircraft, audio-motive applications.

What is the difference between Alternating Currents (AC) and Direct Currents (DC)?

Direct Currents is the flow of electric charge in only one direction, while Alternating Currents is the flow of electric change that reverses periodically.

Resistance

The act or power resisting opposing, or withdrawing
