Anorexia Nervosa

a serious eating disorder - a person severely restricts the amount of food he or she eats in an attempt to be exceptionally underfat

Body Composition

all the tissues that make up your body - Average Person = 15-25% of the body composition is fat tissue - 75-85% is lean body tissue

Bulimia

an eating disorder in which a person does binge eating, or eats very large amounts of food within a short period of time

should not have less than 11% or more than 25% body fat - over 35% is obese

Male Body Fat (teenage)

should not have less than 6% or more than 20% body fat - over 30% is obese

Overfat & Underfat

terms that describe how much your total body weight is made up of fat

Basal Metabolism

the amount of energy you body uses just to keep you living

the fat under the skin
