Closer to the organiztion and includes the sectors that conduct day-to-day transactions; competitors, suppliers, customers, etc.
Achievement Culture
Concerned with serving specific customers in the external environment but without the intense need for flexibility and rapid change
Internal Environment
Elements within the organization's boundaries; employees, management, corporate culture
Adaptability Culture
Emerges in an environment that requires fast response and high-risk decision making
Involvement Culture
Emphasizes an internal focus on the involvement and participation of employees to adapt rapidly to changing need from the environment
International Dimension
External environment represents events originating in foreign countries as well as opportunities for US Companies in other countries

Figures who exemplify deeds, character, and attributes of strong culture

General economic health of country or region the org operates

General environment includes scientific and technological advancements in a specific industry as well as in society at large
Sociocultural Dimension
General environment represents the demographic characteristics as well as norms, customs, and values of general population

Has direct working relationship with the organization
Legal political dimensions
Includes government regulations at local, state, and federal levels as well as political activities designed to influence company behavior

Influences the organization over time, but not day-to-day dealings

Internal focus and consistency orientation for stable environment

Phrase or sentence that expresses a key corporate value

Results from using sophisticated software to search through large amounts of internal and external data to spot significant relationships

Where managers work, includes corporate culture, production technology, organization structure and physical facilities. Must fit needs of external environment and company strategy
