The Edenic Covenant
Conditional Made with Adam Promises life and blessing or death and cursing depended on the faithfulness of Adam Adam and Eve failed, died spiritually and physically and their sin is passed on to all humans
The Mosaic Covenant
Conditional Moral, Civil and Ceremonial Law given by God through Moses to the people Israel Temporary -Terminates at the cross of Christ because Christ fulfills the entirety of the Law
The Adamic Covenant
Unconditional After man breaks the Edenic covenant, God declares to man the cost of his sin. This includes the "heel head promise" the promise of the Redeemer.
The New Covenant
Unconditional Christ Jesus is the mediator (in His blood) of this New Covenant which was fulfilled at the cross This covenant is celebrated in the Lord's Supper today
The Abrahamic Covenant
Unconditional God makes Abraham's name great a blessing -Through Abraham would come a great nation(Israel) -Through Abraham all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Messiah) -Through Abraham's descendants came the prophets of God, the writers of God's Word and Christ
The Davidic Covenant
Unconditional God promised David an unending, royal lineage, throne, and kingdom.
The Noahic Covenant
Unconditional Made with Noah and his sons after the flood -God's promise never to destroy all flesh again by water. -Introduces human government to curb in -Normal order of nature reaffirmed -Permission for man to eat meat
The Land Covenant
Unconditional The land of Israel promised by God to Abraham's descendants through Jacob This is a reminder of a portion of the Abrahamic Covenant
