With the ........, .... ______ noun ...... E.g. With the implementation of the Electronic Road Pricing system, one would expect to find _______ cars on the road. 1) few 2) less 3) fewer 4) lesser

As the noun is uncountable, the answer would be singular and a comparative thingy. Here, the noun is 'cars' and the answer would be 2.

Comma comma E.g. Jane, together with her sisters, _____________ going to the concert tonight. 1) is 2) was 3) are 4) were

Ignore the 2nd subject(because you're mean)which is the one between the commas, the word should refer to the 1st subject(subject outside commas) and follow the tense of the question. In the example, ignore the 'together with her sisters' so the question becomes 'Jane ____________ going to the concert tonight and the answer should be 1.

......., _______ ...? E.g. Sue didn't turn up for the competition, ____ she? 1) did 2) had 3) didn't 4) hasn't

In these questions, you should find 'THE WORD' and the answer is the opposite of that. Here, 'THE WORD' is 'didn't' so the answer would be 1.

Neither nor E.g. Neither the men nor the woman ______ good at swimming. 1) are 2) were 3) was 4) is

In these type of questions, the word in the blank should always follow the closer noun because it sucks up to that noun. (This applies to 'either or' questions) In this case, the closer noun is 'woman', hence the answer is 3.

My ________ and __________ E.g. My faither gave my sister and ____ a gift 1) I 2) myself 3) me 4) mine

Kill the person sharing your things. In the example, 'kill' your sister (don't actually do that) so the question becomes 'My faither gave ___ a gift' and the answer should be 3

Verb Noun such as Noun Noun ________ ......... E.g. Playing sports such as tennis and basketball ________ not only mental ability but also physical strength. 1) require 2) has required 3) requires 4) had required

The first two words did not confirm how many of that noun and thus it is uncountable. The example shows 'playing sports' but it is unknown how many sports as the sports mentioned were just examples so the answer is 3.

Reminiscing E.g. Gabe can still recall those days when he and his brothers often _________ together in the playground near their old house. 1) play 2) played 3) are playing 4) were playing

When it is a reminiscing question, it should be simple past tense because it happened in the past Here, the 'can still recall those days' is the reminiscing part and the word 'often' shows that it was habitual and thus the answer is 2.

By the..., ... ________....... E.g. By the time she arrives, we ______________ our dance practice. 1) finish 2) have finished 3) will finish 4) will have finished

When it says 'by', it has not happened yet so it has to be a future tense. In this case, 1 and 2 can be crossed out with the process of elimination and 4 sounds more 'right; compared to 3 so 4 is the answer.
