On the first meeting December 26th, 1848

Phi Delta Theta was founded in John Mcmillian Wilson's Dorm, formerly known as Old North Hall, now known as Elliott Hall. At this first meeting they "resolved that we constitute ourselves as a secret society." and appointed a committee to create a motto, bond, and constitution for the Society.

On the Fourth meeting on January 1st, 1849

The first man pledged to Phi Delta Theta, Morton George Williams, was initiated. There was a ceremony followed by a banquet at an Oxford Hotel.

On the second meeting December 28th, 1848

The report of the committee was considered and amended.

On the third meeting December 30th, 1848

The report was further debated and finally adopted.
