What are some of the things that a OMR (Optical Mark Reader) does?
*It detects the position of marks on paper. The marks must be made in pre-defined positions *It detects the intensity of the light reflected from these marks. The computer records the position of the marks and analyses it determine the meaning of the data e.g. right or wrong answer on a multiple choice. *They are used for correcting multiple choice examinations, analyzing data from surveys, counting election ballots and validating lottery tickets.
