I understand all Officials and Scorekeepers are student employees who are working hard. They are NOT expert officials and the expectation for that is extremely unrealistic. I will respect them and their judgment, right or wrong. I don't have to agree with their calls, however any displeasure I may have can be voiced as a respectful concern to an Intramural Supervisor, not the Official or Scorekeeper. I understand that MY behavior, or even ONE person on my team's behavior, can affect the status of our entire team and/or organization. One person CAN cause an entire team to serve a penalty or possible removal from the league.

Captains and teammates are ultimately responsible for their team's actions both on and off the court. While we understand you can't "control someone", if someone is "heated", upset, or is using poor sportsmanship, it is the Captain's and teams responsibility to remove them from the contest, either for a few minutes or for that game, before a penalty that could effect the entire team occurs. "Not being able to control someone" is not an excuse for poor sportsmanship or negative behavior. Use "team/peer pressure" to help prevent situations.
