Free-rein requires the leader to set goals for managers and employees and then leave them alone to get the job done. -hiring good quality employees -choosing the right people to delegate -set reasonable goals -being available to answer questions and resolve problems One problem free-rein leaders may have is that they may choose the wrong person to delegate. Another problems is an employee may have more power than should be given and later on trying to take over the company.

Some people have problems working for autocratic leaders because autocratic leaders take over decision making and contorl the eforts of the team. Examples: athletes (leader-coaches), most manufacturing busniesses

8. In your own words, describe two ways that self-managed teams are organized. Describe two benefits that are associated with self-managed teams. Explain why some people may struggle to work with a self-managed team.

- self managed teams are organized by either the team selecting the leader or each team member employs special skills and there is no leader - they are more goal-oriented and team members learn to participate and cooperate - some people do not have the skills and initiative to work with others and some may not put in their fair share of work.

An autocratic leadership is on in which one person runs everything without asking others for input . Autocratic leaders like to give orders without being questioned, make decisions for others, and feel as if their workers need to be watched at all times.

Delegate means turning the power over to managers and employees to run things. three ways it benefits leaders: -lets leaders focus more on the important things - allows leaders to have multiple businesses - allows leaders to me more trusting three factors leaders have to take in consideration: - choosing the right people -hiring workers who are responsible and experienced - make sure they're not delegating due to laziness or lack of effort

Democratic leadership is is when managers work with their employees to make decisions by listening to each other's opions. Also, after a decision is made a democratic leader expalins why he/she made that decision. People would much rather work for a democratic leader because their opinions are more likely to be header and understood.

7. Define self-managed teams. What are two essential elements of a self-managed team? Describe the role of a team leader.

self-managed teams are work groups that supervise themselves. Two essential elements of a self-managed team is being able to work with others and combing skills of others . The role of a team leader is to make sure everyone is doing their fair share in work and evaluate.
