Mode, Mean, Median and Range
How do you find the median?
First, you order the data set from least to greatest. Next, you cross off one low and high number in the set starting at opposite ends until you are left with one or two numbers in the middle. If you have two numbers, you will need to find the mean of those two numbers.
What is the median?
Median is the middle number in a data set.
What is the mode?
Mode is the number that occurs most often in a data set.
Is there always a mode for every data set?
No
What is the mean?

What is the range?
Range is the difference between the smallest and biggest numbers in a data set.
Can a data set have more than one mode?
Yes
How do you find the mean?
You add all of the numbers up in the data set, then you divide by how many numbers are in the data set.
How do you find the mode?
You look at your data set and see which number or numbers occur the most.
How do you find the range?
You subtract the smallest number in the data set from the largest number in the data set.
