How does the minuet and trio differ from sonata-allegro form? How are they similar?

The difference between these two forms of musical composition is that minuet and trio are in the form of pieces, three. Within the third movement out of four movements. It is in a ternary form which is just for dances. Typically both in binary form, the first and second. As sonata-allegro is a form of instrumental music with three main sections. Although its main purpose is to have two contrasting works work in unison to become harmonic. Due to the three pieces and three main section this is their similarity.

Describe the sections of a raga.

The four sections include; alap, jhor, jhalla, and gat. Alap, being an invocation without rhythm where moods along with the notes are brought to life as it has all the phrases of raga. As Mohra's pattern closes Alap, as alap and jor are heard, it breaks up the beginning to a new part. Jor is similar to Alap by introducing notes however it has rhythm unlike Alap. Gat is continuous, gradually increases through the flow of tala. Having three lines, the first line is the main line, second is lower octave, third is higher octave.

Describe the various components of opera, commenting on the function of each in the drama.

There is Libretto which is a text being sung. Orchestra is the component that sets the tone while introducing Melodie's it is the plays overture as it is the instrumental intro. Recitative is what moves the story along, moving it forward with speech. Aria is the emotional appeal to the audience a sort of moment to reflect upon the tension that has built up from Recitative.
