Lane Departure Warning

Helps alert drivers to unintended movement of the vehicle out of a designated traffic lane. The system uses the wide-angle rearview camera and advanced image processing technology to scan the lane markers on the road.

4H

(LOCK) Mode directs an equal 50/50 power split between the front and rear axles for operation on dirt or in severe road conditions.

2 Wheel Drive

100% of available torque is directed to the front wheels.

All- Wheel Drive

All-Wheel Drive systems have the capability to send power to all four wheels. AWD can vary the amount of power directed to the front and rear axles.

Remote Engine Start

Allows users to start the vehicle remotely to warm or cool the interior prior to driving. Retains the Temperature, Fan Speed, Air Circulation Mode Settings, and Heater Seat Settings (if equipped) from the last time the engine was turned off.

Intelligent Key

Eliminates the need to use the remote keyless entry when locking or unlocking the doors, or the ignition key to start the engine.

4LO

Engages a super-low gear for use off-road and provides additional control when very low-speed operation is required. Throttle sensitivity is reduced to allow better control in severe conditions.

Front- Wheel Drive

Engine and Transmission mounted sideways between the front wheels. Front-Wheel drive places more weight over the front tires, which is an advantage when traction is poor, such as in snow or slippery conditions.

3 Main types of 4-wheel-drive systems

Part-Time 4-Wheel Drive, Full-Time 4-Wheel Drive, Automatic 4-Wheel Drive

Sport Mode

Provides a performance feel by altering engine throttle and steering response.

NissanConnect

Suite of connectivity services that includes the Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, streaming audio via Bluetooth®, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and a variety of services available through compatible Bluetooth-enabled devices. The available Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant* converts text to voice so drivers don't have to take their hands off the wheel or their eyes off the road.

Power Steering

Virtually all vehicles today feature power-assisted steering. Power steering enables the driver to steer the vehicle with considerably reduced effort, especially in low-speed turns and parking maneuvers. It allows the use of a lower steering ratio. This is the ratio between the number of degrees turned by the steering wheel and the number of degrees turned by the front wheels.

Forward Collision Warning

Warns the driver that a forward collision with another vehicle might occur unless action is taken by the driver. When the system judges that the vehicle is getting close to another vehicle ahead and a collision might occur, the warning light on the instrument panel blinks and a warning chime sounds. The driver must take action to avoid a collision.

Eco Mode

Enhances fuel economy by altering engine throttle and CVT (if equipped) response.

Blind Spot Warnings

Helps alert drivers if a vehicle is detected in the blind spot area. Depending on the vehicle, the system uses either radar sensors mounted near each corner of the rear bumper or the wide-angle rearview camera of the RearView Monitor to detect vehicles in adjacent lanes.

Active Trace Control

Helps enhance steering response and cornering feel by using the Vehicle Dynamic Control system to selectively apply brake pressure. When cornering, the system helps enhance the transition from braking to accelerating by applying brake pressure to increase the load on the front wheels.

Rearview Monitor

Helps enhance visibility when backing up or parking.

Anti-Lock Braking System(ABS)

Helps improve braking performance and steering control in extreme conditions. If driver brakes sharply, especially on a slippery surface such as wet snow, or a panic stop on a dry road, one or more wheels may lock-that is, the wheel completely stops turning.

Power Brakes

Standard on all vehicles today. With power brakes, vacuum created by the engine is routed to the brake boosters. In turn, the vacuum in the booster assists the driver when depressing the brake pedal. This helps reduce the effort that is needed on the brake pedal to slow the vehicle.

Active Ride Control

Automatically adjusts throttle and applies brake pressure on rough road surfaces to help enhance ride quality.

Bluetooth Technology

Developed to allow electronic devices to be connected with each other without wires, cables, or any direct action from a user.

AWD

Distribution of torque to the front and rear wheels changes automatically. The distribution of torque between the left and right read wheels changes to a lesses extent than AWD-V. Setting should be used when slippery road contitions are encountered.

4-Wheel Drive

Driveshadt transfer power to both the front and rear wheels. Usually found on Trucks and some SUVs because the perform best in off- road conditions.

Brake Assist

Measures how fast, as opposed to how hard, the driver applies the brake pedal. If the system senses a panic stop in the making, it automatically applies maximum brake boost. Also it may activate the ABS so the customer may feel a pulsing in the brake pedal and an actuation noise from under the hood.

Brake Override Technology

Most vehicles today use an electronic drive-by-wire system to control the throttle instead of a mechanical cable throttle system. When the driver presses the accelerator pedal, this electronic system provides coordinated communication among the vehicle's major drivetrain components to help maximize engine efficiency and improve performance.

Traction Control System

To help enhance drive-wheel traction when accelerating, the Traction Control System senses wheel spin and automatically reduces power and/or applies the brakes to the slipping wheel through the ABS system to help limit wheel slip. It operates at all speeds.

AWD-V

Torque vectoring setting. Ditribution of torque to the front and rear wheels changes automatically.

Moving Object Detection

Uses Rearview Monitor, to alert drivers when a moving object is detected crossing the Rearview Monitor view when the vehicle is in reverse.

Around View Monitor

Uses four cameras to create and display views of every side of the vehicle- helping reduce blind spots when parking. (Rear, Front Grille, and Two Outside Mirrors)

Active Understeer Control

Uses the Vehicle Dynamic Control system to gently apply the brakes to the wheels on the inside of the turn. Front-wheel-drive vehicles tend to understeer when cornering — they tend to push to the outside of the curve. Active Understeer Control helps enhance turn-in and reduce understeer, making it easier for the vehicle to follow the course the driver intends.

Electronic Brake Force Distribution

Works to improve braking performance based on the distribution of weight inside the vehicle. If a vehicle is carrying a additional load, such as rear-seat passengers or cargo, the system applies more brake pressure to the rear brakes; because there is more weight on the rear wheels.

Rear- Wheel Drive

Vehicles have their engine and transmission mounted Front to Back with a driveshaft that carries torque to a rear differential, which distributes the power to the wheels. Preferred in Trucks and Utility vehicles that carry and tow heavier loads. Rear-wheel drive distributes vehicle weight more evenly then front-wheel drive.

Hill Start Assist

automatically keeps the brakes applied to help prevent the vehicle from rolling downhill during the interval between the time the driver releases the brake pedal and applies the throttle.

Vehicle Dynamic Control

Takes traction control a step beyond the Traction Control System. It helps the driver keep the vehicle on its steered path in certain handling situations. VDC controls the amount of engine power and/or applies brake pressure to individual wheels as needed. It helps compensate for oversteer and understeer by controlling brake pressure in one or more wheels and by controlling engine power output. It enhances performance in emergency avoidance maneuvers and helps provide improved control on slippery road surfaces.
