PRS TVPRA Cases that have been active for more than a year....
and have been assessed to have no major concerns may be moved into once a month check-ins by the PRS provider.

Safety and well being follow up call
All children released by ORR to a sponsor receive this call 30 days after release date. This is to determine that child is living with sponsor, is enrolled in school, is aware of court dates coming up, and is safe.
What are post release services (PRS)?
All children who had a homestudy receive PRS, these are services that help children and sponsors connect to community based resoursces. Children without a home study may receive these services too if it is identified that they need it.
How long should PRS providers keep records for
Case files must be stored for the period specified in State licensing standards or its accrediting agency, or three years from the date the post-release service period concluded, whichever is longer. Cases involving litigation must be maintained until the case is resolved.
When does ORR refer post release services
Child received home study Child was released to a non relative sponsor The release was safe and appropriate but both sponsor and child would benefit from the services
Notification of concern
Contractors and grantees must report any concerns about the child after he/she was released to a sponsor
Why/ who receives level 2 PRS?
For children who previously received level 1 but have been assessed to need more intensive case management or for children referred to level 2 during their release from ORR This services provides high level of engagement
Level 1 PRS include:
In home engagements And a referral to level 2 if necessary
What assistance does the ORR call center offer to children released from ORR care?
Local resources in the sponsors community Report child abuse or neglect to law enforcement or appropriate authorities Create safety plans for children or sponsors going through: domestic violence, child abuse, self harm, trafficking, placement disruption. Provide assistance with change of address for court hearings Provide vaccination records
For both level 1 and level 2 cases, providers must submit what to ORR
Monthly follow up reports Notifications of concerns (as applicable) Case closure reports
Children who receive PRS through an ORR-mandated home study or discretionary home study, or without a home study
Must be referred to PRS before release, but the referral does not have to be accepted for the child to be released. The services start 2 days after referral is accepted. And PRS ends after 90 days or when child turns 18, whatever happens first
Are PRS and ORR call center the same?
NO- ORRNCC staff provides separate services than those offered by post-release service providers. Unlike post-release service providers, ORRNCC does not provide case management services.

Why/ who receives level 1 PRS
Received if child and sponsor would benefit from ongoing assistance or if they need additional assistance connecting to resources
Level 2 PRS includes:
Regularly scheduled home visits (at least once a month) On going needs assessment of child Comprehensive case management Access to therapeutic supports
UAC sexual abuse hotline
Released children, sponsors, child advocates etc can report confirmed or suspected sexual abuse that occurred at ORR care
When must PRS end?
When child turns 18 or when his/her immigration case is terminated
When is a UACs case considered terminated?
When granted voluntary departure When receiving order of removal Or when obtaining immigration status
When are PRS provided to UAC if a home study was required under TVPRA
Within 2 days of UACs discharge/ release from ORR custody. However, if services are not ready, the release is not held back unless the case manager states that the sponsor will need these services to care for child
