What is a fastener magazine?
A fastener magazine is an attachment that acts as a baseplate and holds multiple pins for easier repetitive fastening. The magazine eliminates the need to load individual fasteners after each fastening.
What is a mechanical anchor?
A mechanical anchor relies on friction, bearing, and/or keying hold to attach an object to a base material. A mechanical anchor does not require additional components to function.
What is the difference between a beam and a joist?
A beam is the main load-bearing structural element of a roof. It supports the weight of joists and other building elements. A joist is a horizontal member that generally runs across a building and is supported by a beam.
What is a Chemical Anchor?
A chemical anchor secures an object to a base material through bonding. Because an additional chemical component (adhesive) is used to enable the proper function of the anchor, it is considered a chemical anchor.

Why the TE-C?
Highest Lifetime: The lifetime is high because of the quality carbide tip blazed directly into the helix The TE-C drill bit outlasts our competitors because of the high-quality carbide tip is brazed directly into the helix to improve durability and the well proven carbide tip design can take significantly more accidental rebar hits than our competitors. Highest Speed: High drilling speed in non-reinforced concrete and masonry, not suitable for rebar The TE-C Drill Bit: designed for speed! Optimized head geometry and dust removal makes for fast drilling. The TE-C bit is the only drill bit in its class that keeps its speed over the entire lifetime HOW? 2-flute helix design for fast and easy dust transport High pitch for fast dust transportation Highest Wear Robustness: 2 flute helix with double groove wear protector and high quality carbide tip

Why the TE-CX?
Longest Lifetime: Highest number of suitable anchor holes, new gradient head (harder & more material) Allow the customer to set more anchor per drill bit The Gradient head consists of two layers- a hard, top layer increasing the life of the bit and the soft, in-between layer improves weldability and prevents the head from breaking off. Innovative Head Design As long as the anchor indicator is visible, anchors can be set without any hassle. Best Performance Over Lifetime: 4 flute helix with 4 carbide cutting edges making excellent dust removal possible Hassle Free Anchor Setting: Hassle free anchor installation as long as the indicator is visible Smooth Drilling Through Rebar: Side cutters lift up the drill bit allowing the main cutter to slide through the rebar without jamming The drill bit drills smoothly through rebar without jamming allowing the customer to drill faster and save money by not having to replace drill bits. It is able to do this because the side cutters life up the drill bit when hitting rebar letting the main cutter cut through the rebar without causing jamming or high vibrations Guaranteed Quality : New bit in case of failure as long as warranty mark is visible

What is a multi-directional laser?
Multi-directional lasers are point lasers that make laying out right angles and transferring plumb quick and easy by projecting a laser bean used for alignment. Operating up to 98 feet, point lasers have a compact and efficient design ideal for interior layout.
The transfer of points from the floor to ceiling is called
Plumb

What are Rotating Lasers?
Rotating lasers allow contractors to transfer reference points both horizontally and vertically, indoors and outdoors, quickly and easily even over long distances. Rotators can be used during all phases of the construction project - from prepping the site, to pouring the foundation, and erecting the structure to finishing the interior. Rotating lasers are the most versatile tools on the jobsite.

What is Hilti's product line for impact wrenches?
SIW
What are examples of mechanical anchors?
Screw Anchors, Expansion Anchors, and Sleeve Anchors/Flush Anchors
What applications are screw anchors used for?
Screw anchors are typically used in lighter applications, such as window and door frames, electrical wall fixtures, brick ties, etc. and come in a variety of head configurations
What is a screw anchor?
Screw anchors work by cutting and tapping into the base material to engage the anchor's threads into a pre-drilled, matched tolerance hole.
How does the baseplate work?
The baseplate is the piece that contacts the work surface and provides additional stability for the tool. It must be fully compressed for the tool to operate
How do the buffer, shear clip, and stop ring work?
The buffer, shear clip, and stop ring work together to absorb excess energy when too much power or too short of fastener is used in an application. Overdrive happens when the piston passes through the fastener guide and enters the work surface. Even though the piston cannot completely escape the tool, overdrive results in poor fastening quality and will eventually damage the tool
A low-velocity tool drives the fastener into the base material with what part?
The captive piston
How does the piston work?
The piston drives the fastener into the base material. it also helps guide the fastener into place. In order to do this correctly, each fastener must be matched with the ideal piston. The end of each piston is specially shaped to fit a particular fastener head. when the piston reaches the end of the tool, its driving action is stopped.
How does the piston guide sleeve work?
The piston is guided through the tool by the piston guide sleeve, or simply piston guide. The guide sleeve also houses the cartridge chamber.
Match the tool to the correct type of propellant. GX 3
gas canister
Match the tool to the correct type of propellant GX 2
