phobia

a strong and irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation

operant conditioning

can be involved in the avoidance of behavior that characterizes phobias -people with phobias may have observed and modeled the fearful reactions of others

snakes, spiders, dogs, cats, slugs, bats

Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)

-an intense fear of being humiliate, embarrassed, or judged in social situations
