Ampere

(SI unit symbol: A), often shortened to "amp", is the SI unit of electric current. It is named after André-Marie Ampère (1775-1836)

Hertz

(symbol Hz) is the unit of frequency in the International System of Units (SI) and is defined as one cycle per second. It is named for Heinrich Rudolf Hertz

Joule

(symbol: J) the SI unit of work or energy, equal to the work done by a force of one newton when its point of application moves one meter in the direction of action of the force, equivalent to one 3600th of a watt-hour. It is named after the English physicist James Prescott Joule (1818-1889).

Newton

(symbol: N) is the International System of Units (SI) derived unit of force. It is named after Isaac Newton in recognition of his work on classical mechanics, specifically Newton's second law of motion.

Pascal

(symbol: Pa) is the SI derived unit of pressure, internal pressure, stress, Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength, and is defined as one newton per square metre. It is named after the French polymath Blaise Pascal.

Volt

(symbol: V) is the derived unit for electric potential, electric potential difference (voltage), and electromotive force. The volt is named in honour of the Italian physicist Alessandro Volta (1745-1827)

Watt

(symbol: W) is a derived unit of power in the International System of Units (SI), named after the Scottish engineer James Watt (1736-1819)

Candela

(symbol: cd) is the SI base unit of luminous intensity; that is, luminous power per unit solid angle emitted by a point light source in a particular direction.

Lumen

(symbol: lm) is the SI derived unit of luminous flux, a measure of the total quantity of visible light emitted by a source.

Ohm

(symbol: Ω) is the SI derived unit of electrical resistance, named after German physicist Georg Simon Ohm.
