polisíndeton

Figura retórica que consiste en repetir los conjuntivos sin que lo exija la sintaxis. Ralentiza el ritmo y puede así alargar la frase o hacer más solemne la expresión. Es el contrario de asíndeton. Rhetorical figure that consists of repeating the conjunctive without being required by the syntax. It slows down the rhythm and can thus lengthen the phrase or make the expression more solemn. It is the opposite of asyndeton.

poesía

Género literario que se propone expresar la belleza o el sentimiento por medio del lenguaje, generalmente sometido a la disciplina del verso. A literary genre that aims to express beauty or feeling through language, usually subject to the discipline of verse.

polifonía

Pluralidad o conjunto de voces que crea un texto literario y que se corresponden con múltiples conciencias independientes e inconfundibles no reducibles entre sí. Plurality or set of voices that creates a literary text and that correspond to multiple independent and unmistakable consciences not reducible among themselves.

poema

Tradicionalmente se refiere a obras de cierta extensión aunque en los últimos años este término ha venido a sustituir a la palabra "poesía" para significar cualquier obra literaria escrita en verso. También hay poemas en prosa. Traditionally it refers to works of a certain extension although in recent years this term has come to replace the word "poetry" to mean any literary work written in verse. There are also poems in prose.
