A compromise created by Roger Sherman that proposed different representation in the two-house legislature. The upper house had 2 senators for each state while the lower house was based on population.

Three Fifths Compromise

A compromise where every 5 enslaved people counted as 3 in the states population.

Rodger Sherman

A man who created the Great Compromise.

Virgina Plan

A plan created by Edmund Randolph where the votes are counted based on population

New Jersey Plan

A plan where legislatures would have a singe house with each state having one vote.

James Madison

At the Consitutional Convention James Madison created a plan for a new government. 4th president.
