Disadvantages of knowledge of results:
It can be demotivating for other performers in situations where there can only be a winner
Disadvantages of extrinsic:
It can be difficult to get the advice and help of a qualified coach especially for beginners
Disadvantages of negative:
It can be very demoralising practicularly for beginners. Too many negative comments can leave the performer struggling to know how to respond particularly beginners
Disadvantages of positive feedback:
It can emphasise positive aspects too highly and suggest that the overall performance was better than it actually was
Advantages of negative:
It enables a coach to provide guidance on how to skill should be performed correctly/better. It can help performers to prioritse the specific skills they need to imorove
Advantages of positive feedback:
Motivates the performer particularly beginners. It makes all performers feel that they had successful aspects of their performance
Advantages of intrinsic:
Performers practicarly experienced performers can make immediate adjustments
Positive feedback definition:
Positive feedback is about what was correct or good about the performance

Feedback on results provides the performer with information about their placing in a tournament or time it took to complete a race
Advantages of knowledge of performance:
There are many aspects to one performance so the feedback can be very detailed for experienced performers or focus on one/two aspects of the performance for beginners
Intrinsic definition:
This feedback a performer recieves is abiut their performance from within. Kinaesthetic feedback is a form of intrinsic feedback
Extrinsic definition:
This feedback a performer recieves is about their performance from outisde themself such as from a coach
Disadvantages of knowledge of performance:
Ut can be challenging to break a performance down in order to provide the detailed feedback required by experienced performers
Advantages of extrinsic:
Beginners need this from coaches to be made aware of and learn basic skills and techniques. More experienced performes can combine types of feedback to gain a full oicyire of their performance.
Knowledge of performance definition:
Feedback on performance provides the performer with information about their performance generally amd about their technique more specifically
Advantages of knowledge of results:
It gives the performer a quick measure of their success
Disadvantages of intrinsic:
It requires a high level of knowledge about a particular activity to be able identify precisely what did not work well and what needs to be done to improve. Beginners are unlike to have this level of knowledge.
