what is the annual fee for?

all members pay an annual fee for basic maintenance and upkeep of the club!

will there be someone to assist me the first time i workout?

as a member of youfit, you are entitled to a fitness assessment with one of our youfit coaches. a certified PT will talk to you about nutrition, exercise, personal goals, and even take you on a workout. would you like to set up your appointment today?

why cant i grunt when i use weights?

at youfit we want everyone to feel comfortable and be able to focus on his or her own workouts while in the facility. Grunting can be very distracting which is why we ask all members to refrain from doing it during their workouts

why dont you ever have heavier weights? will there ever be higher weights?

because youfit is a general fitness gym our dumbells are 90lbs and lighter. we do have a variety of machines and benches that allow you to use weight over 90lbs

why arent there any brochures?

green is our color so we minimize our paper use. I can answer any questions that you may have today. if you are not interested in looking around you can visit our website at youfit.com for additional information and photos.

why is a PIF more expensive than monthly?

currently, our monthly members are on special. occasionally we have deals on our PIFs, but our best deals are our monthly specials

Why did youfit take 39.99 out of my account/ can my annual club due be waived/ no one told me about the annual club due?

(Look up their account) Oh I see, its your annual club dues. It is a fee that youfit members pay once a year. Don't worry you wont see it again until this time next year! We explain it to all our members when they join, do you have a copy of your agreement?

How old does my limecard guest have to be?

13-17: Proof of age required and parent MUST be in facility at all times with parent guardian waiver on file. 18: Identification present at all times.

Do i get any special perks for reffering a friend?

Absolutely! We appreciate you "sharing the love"! For every two people that you refer to youfit and join, you recieve a free month! You can refer a family member, friend, or a coworker. Do yo have the Youfit App on your phone? I'll show you how to refer people directly through this app.

Why arent we open later on the weekends?

After doing a gym usage analysis, we've noticed that 96% of members do not utilize fitness centers after certain times. To keep Youfit cost effective for you, we have set hours in place to mimic this.

Why does the limecard guest have to bring an ID each time?

All guests must carry their ID with them for liability and to ensure their safety if any health concerns arise

Will the approved radio stations ever be changed?

At youfit we play 5 satellite stations that provide a good mix of music that all of our members can enjoy. Unfortunately everyone has a different opinion about what is "good" music is what makes it hard to find a station that everyone wants to hear. The majority of our members use their Ipods so they can listen to their music of choice.

Can I pay at the club/ I don't want to give out my bank account/ credit card information?

Bank accounts/ credit/ debit card payments are the most secure way for you to make your payment. a payment made on a card is easily disputed through your bank just in case you ever feel we wrongfully billed you. By setting up automatic payments through your bank account, you are also limiting the chances of late payments and fees

Can i share my account with someone?

Each membership is a single membership and the scan tags cannot be shared. You can upgrade to our limecard membership today if you were interested in bringing someone with you.

Why am I required to pay an annual fee 3 months after joining?

Good question. Im sure you are asking because you know that other gyms typically charge this fee the day you join. At youfit we want to be sure we are the best fit for you and you are enjoying your time with us. you will only ever be responsible for this fee if your membership is active the day that it is due

Why cant we wear jeans?

Jean material and the rivets on jean pants and shorts can cause the equipment pads and seats to wear and potentially tear prematurely. Also, many workers wearjeans on the job and this rule helps keep all equipment clean for your use

Can my limecard guest be my trainer?

Limecard guests are NOT able to be your personal trainer. We have phenomenal trainers here at youfit called Youcoaches who would be happy to assess you.

Can a limecard guest be under 18 if the member is a family member but not the legal parent/ guardian?

No!

Can someone behind the desk hold my things

No, i do apologize. we suggest locking all of your items in a locker so that nothing will happen to them.

If I have a limecard, why does my child have to show their ID every visit? What if they dont have an ID?

Since we allow minors aged 13 and up, the ID verifies identity and age. If they do not have an ID that verifies age, we ask that you bring in a birth certificate or passport one time before their visit so that our general Manager can approve visits without an ID. Every minor still has to have a parent guardian waiver on file.

Is there a limit to how many times i can uprgade/ downgrade my membership type?

There is no limit. As long as procedures are following (30 days/ $10 downgrade), then a member can whenever they like.

Do the cars in the parking lot get broken into?

This is simply a crime of opportunity that can occur in every parking lot. This can happen whenever someone is seen putting their purse or valuables on their seat or in their trunk. This is why we strongly suggest using a locker.

Can i freeze my membership?

We allow members to freeze their membership for up to 6 months for medical reasons. Simply provide a letter from your doctor to the GM and it will be taken care of. Each letter will freeze your account for up to 3 months. If you would like to speak about the other options I can put you in touch with our General Manager.

Why do we advertise "No contract" when there actually is one?

We offer month to month no contract memberships which allow you to cancel whenever you want with only 10 day notice. This membership is not a contract which requires you to be a member for 1,2, or 3 years. We do need you to complete our Membership Agreement for liability and payment approval purposes.

Why do we have to come into the club to cancel, why cant we do it online or over the phone?

When you come in to process your cancellation, you will receive a detailed receipt that provides you with proof of your cancellation. This protects you just in case there are any issues with the processing of your cancellation.

Can I change the name under my account to another name?

You may transfer your account to another person. Your friend will have to come with you to process the transfer, as well as pay their first and last month.

What is the minimum age to workout?

You must be at least 13yrs old to be a member at youfit. if you are under 18 we need a completed parent waiver form before you can join. It must also be paid for monthly by a legal parent/guardian. All members under age of 16 have to be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times while inside the gym.

why dont we offer a pool, classes, or child care?

our research shows that less than 10% of members take advantage of their amenities like a pool, at youfit we feel our members should only have to pay for everything that they use on a day to day basis. this helps us keep our cost down and allows us to offer unique items like great prices, top of the line equipment, and tvs.

why are there limited flat benches?

since we are a general fitness gym we try to offer more versatile equipment like the smith machines, that allow members to complete a variety of exercises instead of just one.

will we ever have a machine/ equipment you dont offer?

since we are a general fitness gym, we try to offer the most versatile equipment that will be used by all no matter what level of fitness. there are certain machines however that due to their advanced nature or because of the lack of available space that will not be available in our clubs.

when will the machines be fixed?

the machines are inspected and maintained regularly, when a machine goes down, we go to a company to diagnose the issue, or the parts, and repair the equipment. the good part is that when a machine is repaired, it comes with a warantee. whenever you notice a machine is not properly functioning, please bring it to our attention.

Can I speak to the manager? (manager isnt available)

the manager is not currently available, is there anything i can currently help you with? I could also take down your phone number and leave a message for them or provide you with their email address, which would you prefer?

why do i have to take my picture?

this policy exists so that if you lose your keys or forget your scan tag we can allow you to workout. it also prevents other people from using your membership if you ever happen to lose your scan tag.

I have the same membership as my friend and she paid less to join!

throughout the year we run various promotions that vary both in the monthly payment and down payment. At most our promotions only vary by up to $45 in the first year. you can also take advantage of any special you are interested in by renewing at the available rate.

Is YouFit hiring?

Can i get a student discount?

we are currently offering some great promotions. (Present current promotion)

why dont we offer free passes?

we have a one time guest pass located on our website under the locations tab. would you like me to direct you through our website to get to yours? if you do not have a free pass for your guest today you can upgrade to the lime card or purchase a day pass for $10. your guest has 30 days to count the $10 towards their membership.

why dont you offer a family membership?

we have such great rates that you will find our membership beats any family memberships around, plus you can bring a family member with the lime card.

can I sign up if i dont have my bank account information?

we offer both monthly or paid in full memberships. if you choose to pay monthly we can set up the automatic payments with your banking information. CC Allowed: if you do not have your banking information at the time of setup, we ask you bring it with you the next time you are in ACH Only: if you are not able to provide banking information i can show you out PIF and pay as you go options.

you can downgrade any time after 10 days. the downgrade fee is only $10.00
