A) Between 1910-1940 much of the internal migration patterns were from the south to the north as hundreds of thousands of black Americans fled the south to northern cities. Whereas After World War II many white Americans began to leave the inner cities (white flight) to settle in the suburbs. B) One historical similarity between the two time periods would be that both groups were migrating for better economic opportunities. C) One impact of the trend of migration after World War II would be that many American cities lost much of their tax base as white Americans left for the suburbs. This loss of revenue led to underfunded public schools and infrastructure and "urban blight" of the 1970s.
