1. Mechanical aptitude tests: Focus on a variety of abilities that fall into the psychomotor domain. Assembly tests to reasoning tests. 2. Artistic aptitude tests: Evaluate artistic talent, music, drawing. 3. Readiness aptitude tests: Determined how ready children were for school 4. Clerical aptitude tests: Measures speed and accuracy for clerical purposes
What is the main difference between achievement and aptitude tests?
Achievement: Measures how much someone knows or has learned, how much knowledge they have in a particular area Most common tests given Aptitude: evaluate an individual's potential, attempt to find out how qualified someone is Measures cognitive skills and psychomotor performance
Differential Aptitude Test (DAT)
Aptitude test- Mechanical Aptitude test Measures psychomotor performance and focuses on psychomotor skills
