Definition- Happening or existing at the same time, simultaneous. Synonym- occurring at the same time Sentence- Having mistakenly registered for two concurrent classes, Joe had to drop one of them and choose a course that met at different time.
Nominal
Definition- Slight, very small compared with what be expected Synonym- very little Sentence- Except for a nominal registration fee, the camp for needy children is entirely free.
Hypothetical
Definition- Supposed for the sake of argument Synonym- Imaginary Sentence- Law school hold pretend court sessions with hypothetical cases to that student can practice their skills.
Constitute
Definition- To make up, be the part of Synonym- to form Sentence- In my opinion, a good movie, a pizza, and animated conversation constitute a perfect night out.
Confiscate
Definition- To seize with authority legally take possession of. Synonym- to take possession of Sentence- "Hand 'em over," my father said. Just as we were really starting to have fun, he confiscated our entire supply of water ballon.
Recession
Definition- a temporary decline in business Synonym- an economic set back Sentence- While seashore business in the North suffer a recession in the winter, they do very well from spring to fall.
Predominant
Definition- most common or most noticeable Synonym- most Sentence- Rock is the predominant music in our dorm, but country music is also popular.
Prerequisite
Definition- something required beforehand Synonym- a requirement Sentence- You cant take spanish literature i unless you've taken the prerequisite, spanish III.
Default
Definition-To fail to do something required Synonym- Not to do something required Sentence- We won our case against the appliance repairman because he defaulted by failing to appear in court.
Decipher
Definition-To interpret or read (Something confused or hard to make out) Synonym- Sentence- WHy do contracts have to use language that's difficult to decipher?
