A chemical reaction occurs when substances combine to form a new substance. This new substance is chemical,t different from the originals, and it cannot be separated to revert to the original substance.

You see a bright yellow flame, what can you tell about the temperature of the flame and the mix air-gas?

A yellow flame is produced when the air vent is closed and the natural gas can only mix with the air at the top of the Bunsen burner. As a result, incomplete combustions occurs. A yellow flame transfers less heat energy than the blue flame , since the air vents is closed and the combustion {the process of burning something} is incomplete.

The products of this reaction are usually carbon dioxide and water. Why you don't get to see any of the products of this combustion reaction?

Because they are gases. Their particles are too spread out to be seen since they are gasses according to the theory of particles in matter.

The flame formed when the air ports are open are hotter. This is because before I opened the air vents on the Bunsen burner, nothing happened to the copper wire and I couldn't see the zones of the flame, therefore the colors weren't as bright. This leads me to believe that the flame wasn't as hot when the air vents were closed.

The name of the chemical that reacted with methane gas was oxygen. The chemical formula for oxygen is O2. Oxygen is coming from the air, and you can't see it because it is a gas , so it's molecules are too spread apart for one to be able to see. The balanced equation is CH4 {methane} + 2O2 {oxygen} ➡️ CO2 {carbon dioxide} + H2O {water}.

You would just wipe off the copper wire on something to see how much sut was produced in this chemical reaction. This is produced when a material gets burned , meaning that the black solid particles of carbon get transferred to the copper wire. The step that shows this is after I put the copper wire in the flame.
