Santa Fe is a city highly populated with and is well known for its art and culture in which they rely heavily on tourists. For example, Meow Wolf, the interactive art exhibit in Santa Fe, is very popular and draws a lot of tourism, one of many art exhibits and tourist spots in the city. An example of a comprehensive approach is the live music community of Austin, Texas. Much of the cities revenue comes from live music venues, festivals or events, and smaller restaurants or shops that are able to have live performances. Austin is considered the "live music capital of the world" and the city relies on that heavily from an economic and cultural aspect. I believe these three to be key considerations in creating a collaborative work plan in community development due to the fact that a collaboration is only beneficial if it is incorporating and listening to all aspects and members of a community, as well as cooperating with all aspects and members of a community.

The role of the initiating committee is to determine the goals of the collaboration, draft a mission or statement of purpose, develop membership expectations and determine a list of members, conduct research about the issues that will be addressed by the collaboration, and invite members and plan the first meeting. The initiating committee is most important in community development in getting the ball rolling for collaborations and ensuring that the idea of the collaboration is straightforward and concise, while also reaching out to people who will help achieve the goals of the collaboration. For example, an initiating committee focused on the collaboration of organizations to address the issue of littering in a city would narrow down the mission of the collaboration and think of groups who would benefit the collaboration and invite them to the first meeting.
