1. If you are drawing a line that is parallel to an axis, and you hold down the Shift Key, Sketch Up will lock onto that axis. The Line will become the color of the axis that you lock on to, and will become darker. 2. If locked onto an axis, you do not have to have the cursor directly where the line is drawn.
Sketch Up What do you have to remember when painting a Component?
1. Make sure that you are editing the Component before you apply the color or material, or it will apply it only to the one face, where as, if you are editing the component, when you apply the color or material it will apply it to the entire component.

1. Open up the model you want and arrange in a perspective view. 2. Choose: "Section Pane" from the "Tools" Menu. 3. Position the "Section Pane" either above or at the end of the object. Delete the face of the window that is not part of the upper-right pane. 7. Select the upper-right pane by double clicking and make it a component. Enter "/#", where # is the number of copies of the object that you want between the original and the first copy, preceded by "/". Note: This will place the specified number of copies between the original object and the first copy evenly spaced between copies.
