In your experience, what how does an organization encourage your use of your discretionary energy and effort, that willingness each employee has, to go the extra mile, push harder, spend more time, and do whatever is necessary to get the job done?

- When Manager or Leader said / need me to finish my tasks, or team tasks to meet a deadline, so I always willing to spend extra hours / working over time to make a job done. It mean that I take a team's schedule, goal, very seriously.

Provide an example of a time when you went out of your way and jumped through hoops to delight a customer.

- Working late at night, and work during the weekend. For example, while working for O'Neil company, my manager need me to develop a program to remove all invalid xml nodes based on configuration, in jason format. That program needs to finish as soon as possible, so other team can use it to get their job done during the weekend. She assigned this task to me at 4 pm Friday, then I finished it around 10 pm. Send it to CSM team for using, then I have to come to the company on Saturday to show them how to use it. I helped the company turn around then got the full time position after that

What are the positive aspects of your current job and work environment, or the last position you held before coming to this interview?

- collaborating: easy to get help from team member when needing - twice meeting per week, so manager can update to the team what is going on, and each members can update to others about what he is doing. Is there any road block or not

What are the characteristics exhibited by the best boss you have ever had or wish that you have had?

- friendly, motivate, inspire me to do a good work, and provide appropriate feedback so i can know my mistakes to correct and improve. - I would love to meet with leader or manager once a week or month to discuss about my goal, area i need to improve

- strong technical skill, strong problem solving. I a person who can solve a challenging problem

- team work: Friendly environment is the most important thing for the team to success - challenging tasks: that make me think, create and grown. - one to one meeting with manager / leader to understand expectation, correct mistake, career goal, and so on

When you work with a team, describe the role that you are most likely to play on the team.

Even I can play many roles in a team from researcher assistant, technical bridge, technical support, developer, QC. The role that I can contribute more to the team is software developer where I can apply my programming experiences, knowledgeable, education to contribute more to the team

Do you have a best friend at work? How do you feel about becoming friends with your coworkers? Is this a wise practice?

Friendships in the workplace are important. I am an on going person. I want to make friend with co-worker but getting the job done effectively and efficiently is the most important at work. Willing to help my friends or co-workers when they need but this won't affect to my work schedule. For example, while I am busy at work, tasks and my friend or coworker needs my help on their tasks. I usually let them know that I am busy and will get back to them after that.

What is your preferred work style? Do you prefer working alone or as part of a team? What percentage of your time would you allocate to each, given a choice?

I am a full stack developer who can work from start to beginning of the project; however, I would prefer to work with a team, so we can collaborate, communication to get the job done faster, and learn from each other. 70% team, 30% independent

Tell us about a decision that you made that was made based primarily on customer needs and input.

Previously, the POS system that I build for AVBC company could not charge credit card transaction, and client really want to have that feature, so I have the company to develop a DLL that be able to connect with Veriphone payment gateway, read credit card info, send to payment gateway and process the payment, send $ to merchandise account. That feature makes client so happy and company gain more profit about this.

Tell us about an occasion when you believe that you delighted a customer, either an internal or an external customer.

While working for AVBC company, I usually go to customer office to install, and help them using the POS software, and whenever having an issue with the software, I always provide the hot fix as soon as possible, that make the client delighted. Customer is always first, need to make them are happy while using our software
