Vibration Sensor

The "poor man's" accelerometer/motion sensor! These spring-vibration switches are medium sensitivity non-directional vibration induced trigger switches. Inside is a medium hardness spring coiled around a long metal pin. When the switch is moved, the spring touches the center pole to make contact. So, when there's motion, the two pins will act like a closed switch. When everything is still, the switch is open.

Diode

These are good for reverse polarity protection (put it between your DC power jack and circuitry to avoid a negative-voltage that would zap your delicate electronics), kickback protection (place across your solenoids, relays & DC motors to safely discharge the spikes generated by the coils), general rectification, and more!

Jumper Wire

These are pull apart wires using for wiring circuit together and transferring the flow of power throughout the circuits.

Tactile Button Switch

These are standard input "buttons" on electronic projects.

Dual Operational Amplifier

These devices consist of two independent, high-gain frequency-compensated operational amplifiers designed to operate from a single supply or split supply over a wide range of voltages.

LED

This is a simple light. When it receives power it lights up and when it doesn't get power it stops emitting light.

Thermistor

a component that has a resistance that changes with temperature.

Ceramic Capacitor

a fixed-value capacitor in which ceramic material acts as the dielectric

Photoresistor

a light-controlled variable resistor. The resistance of this component decreases with increasing incident light intensity.

Potentiometer

a manually adjustable variable resistor with 3 terminals. Two terminals are connected to both ends of a resistive element, and the third terminal connects to a sliding contact, called a wiper, moving over the resistive element. The position of the wiper determines the output voltage of this device. It essentially functions as a variable voltage divider.

Electrolytic Capacitor

a type of capacitor that uses an electrolyte to achieve a larger capacitance than other capacitor types.

Dielectric Material

an electrical insulator that can be polarized by an applied electric field.

Arduino

an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software.

Slide Switch

are common switches that can be used to control the flow of power through a circuit by sliding the button on the top in either direction.

Signal Diode

are directional current valves that move electrons in a system.

H-Bridge

are utilized to control electricity through the pairing of switches built inside the integrated circuit

Bipolar Transistor

current regulating devices that control the amount of current flowing through them from the Emitter to the Collector terminals.

Piezzo Buzzer

has a lot of possibilities for its uses such as: tone making and vibration seeking

Resistors

is a passive electrical component to create resistance in the flow of electric current. In almost all electrical networks and electronic circuits they can be found. The resistance is measured in ohms.

Linear Voltage Regulator

is a system used to maintain a steady voltage. The resistance of the regulator varies in accordance with the load resulting in a constant output voltage.

Breadboard

is used for wiring together your circuits with your components

Female Header

pin breakaway headers, like the duct tape of electronics. Its great for connecting things together, soldering to perf-boards, sockets for wires or break-away header, etc.

Male Header Pins

set of pin breakaway headers. This can also useful during certain circuits
