Located: bellow the ilium & behind the pubis Function: main connection between the leg and the skeletal structure of the trunk and pelvis.

Located: bowl shaped bone in the forehead. Function: protect brain, maintain structure of face, bone in the front.

Located: center of the chest. Function: connects ribs to cartilage.

Located: on top of the body Function: protection of the brain, fixing the distance between eyes to allow stereoscopic vision, & the position of the ears to enable sound localisation of the direction & distance of sounds.
