Do you believe that there should be mandatory vaccinations for the Genital Human Papillomavirus (also called HPV)? Support your answer with a minimum of three facts. Try to be specific and include information about signs, symptoms, and diseases that are directly related to HPV. Make sure you state your position and give evidence to support your argument.
I believe that people should get vaccinated for HPV because it is really common in the US, it is hard to treat, and it can cause cancer. Over 3 million cases are reported every year of HPV, so a vaccine can lower that number very easily. HPV cannot be cured and some treatments don't work, so catching it before it can do anything bad would be beneficial to the public. Lastly, since it can cause many types of cancer, including cervical, anal, oral, vulvar, and other types, it would be advantageous to try to stop some types of HPV from attacking.
