Keywords such as "question" or "answer" generate a voice detected flag. If a voice is detected during the exam a transcript will be generated. Voice detection effectiveness may be compromised if a radio or television is playing during the exam.

Make sure the available "from" and "until" dates/times are set with a window of time for all test takers to complete the test. Use the Moderate Quiz link in Canvas to add time to the student's test.

Publish the exam at least 48 hours before students take the exam. Ask students to take the Honorlock practice exam well before the test. Provide clear expectations to the students for setting up their testing environment.

The Chrome extension is contained within the Chrome browser itself, it only has access to the limited operations that are provided by the browser - nothing else. The Chrome extension is only active while you are within the learning management system, and never accesses any personal or private data. When the Chrome extension is active, there is a flashing red indicator on the extension. If this indicator is not being shown, nothing is actively being monitored or recorded during that time. Honorlock is hosted in the cloud through Amazon Web Services

View video sessions with yellow or red indicators. You should view the room scan portion of the video to make sure students have completed a thorough room scan.
