I currently have paperwork that has to be filled out after every shift I work. There is a little comment box that tells you to explain anything that happened during your shift. Most people don't put something in the boxes. Even my manager said I don't have to worry about it, but I like to put down if anything happened that wasn't supposed to happen during that shift or how the store was with the traffic flow. And if something happens that needs immediate attention I will call them.

How do you typically handle confrontation?

I like to talk it out. I always like to find out what I've done to possible upset someone so I don't do it again and I can work on fixing it versus leaving it up in the air for more confrontation to build.

Now we have at least 3 new good routes to work in.

In the past I have been too hard on myself. I can be my own worst critic at times and fail to give myself a pat on the back. I have worked through it and have learned life is short and I need to enjoy my time accomplishments.

When have you had to deal with confrontation in the work place?

Last year a new employee started working for the company I am apart of now. The first shift we worked together he broke a few rules. I am unaware if he did it since we are not closely managed or if he was just unaware of the rules. I calmly talked to him about what you can and cannot do on the job and the reasoning behind it. I also gave some pointers for these rules to never be broken.

Give me a specific example of a time when you used good judgement and logic in solving a problem?

Once I was feeling pressure from a person requesting to give them the promotional offer I was handing out. I asked them if they used tobacco products. At this time they told me yes, but they were trying to quit. When I heard that they were trying to quit this habit. I wanted to clarify if they wanted to quit tobacco altogether or if they were looking for an alternative. When they said all together I politely apologized and told them I didn't feel comfortable giving them the promotional offer since I knew they wanted to quit. He was a little frustrated, but I think he understood when he everything was all said and done because he didn't end up buying his tobacco product and left the store with a smile.

Picking a major. I think I changed my major unofficially five times. I knew I wanted to be in the health care, but I couldn't figure out which part of health care would best fit me. My dad told me about this career and when I read up on it I realized I would love it. I loved the fact that each disease or procedure had a code.

What is the worst thing a previous manager could say about you?

That when I first started to work on the job I was shy and kept to myself. It was a new environment I was going into, nothing I ever went to school for, or even heard of. I was trying to get a feeling for the environment before I was fully open with everyone.

Yes, I am a patient listener and a good communicator. With both these abilities working with others works great. Also, with my current job you have to communicate with the whole team to work out a plan with where everyone is going that night.

Are you a hard worker?

Yes, I have had many compliments on being a hard worker. I take initiatives in my work. I am responsible, reliable and punctual. I am not afraid to learn new things
