In the United States people are still unfair to African American. The cops are unfair and a lot of people are. They call the cops on African Americans for during normal things like going to the pool and a cookout at the park and more.
What were the Jim Crow Laws?
It was any law enforced racial segregation. In the United States of America in the south. It also told freed African American what jobs they could have, when they can work and how they work. Take voting rights away. And it was hard for African American to win court cases in the south.
What caused them?
Jim Crow laws were created by racist southerners who wanted power and control. The laws spread racial segregation throughout the south in the 1960s-1970s. Those who dared to speak out was arrest or violental reprisal.
