Life cycle of a star
Supernova
A giant explosion
Global cluster
A group of stars that looks like a ball and co resin 1 million stars
Nebula
A large cloud of gas and dust in space
White dwarf
A left over center of an old star
Neutron star
A product of a supernova that is made out if neutrons
Hottest star
Blue main sequence
Black hole
Exerts such a gravitational pull that no light can escape
Which life cycle lasts the shortest
High mass
Who first started classifying and studying stars
Hubble
Which galaxy has the leftovers
Irregulars
These stars are going through nuclear fusion
Main sequence
Which stage is nuclear fusion in full effect
Main sequence
Brightest star
Red giant
Dimmest star
White dwarf
White dwarf
the sixth stage in a low mass stars life, the remains of the red giant is a glowing ball of gas about the size of earth. Nuclear fusion has stopped and the gas begins to cool.
Main sequence star
the third stage in every stars life, the star is in it's middle age, around 6 billion years old. 90% opf a star's life is in this stage.
Supernova
the fifth stage in a high mass stars life, after the red super giant expands it collapses in its self so rapidly that when it is done it explodes outwards.
Nebula
the first stage in every stars life.
Red super giant
the forth stage in a high mass star, it is very similar to the red giant but it expands faster, lasts longer, and gets bigger than the red giant.
Neutron star
the other way a high mass star can end up as is a neutron star. This is a star so dense that one table spoon would weigh as mush as 10 suns! they spin so fast and move like black holes, but we can see them. But there is no way we could defend our selves from a neutron star or a black hole, if they were to crash into us we would be dead.
Protostar
the second stage in every stars life, gravity pulls gases and dust together and nuclear fusion starts
Black dwarf
the seventh stage of a low mass star, the gases have stopped glowing and all that remains is a dark piece of space rock, our sun will end its life like this.
Black dwarf
The last stage no light it is dead
Which galaxy has the oldest stars
Elliptical
Coolest star
Red giant
Which stars will become white dwarfs
Red giants
Which life cycle lasts longer
Small/mass stars
What galaxy describes the Milky Way
Spiral
Which galaxy has the newest stars
Spiral
Open cluster
Stars closely grouped together along a spiral or discs of galaxies
Red giant
The forth stage in a low mass star's life, after the star has used up all it's hydrogen, it starts to cool and expand in an effort to start fusing helium atoms.
Oldest star
White dwarf
