Stemmer's sign

Assessing lymphedema by pulling up on the kin at the base of the second toe or finger. If the skin is unable to be pulled up, then it is a sign of lymphedema, usually primary, but also advanced secondary.

What are the major lymph nodes?

superficial portions of the skin, the central nervous system, and bone

What are the only types of tissue that do not have lymphatic vessels?

the right arm, right side of the head, and the right side of the thorax. It drains into the right subclavian vein.

What does the right lymphatic duct drain and into what structure?

The rest of the body that is not drained by the right lymphatic duct and it drains into the left subclavian vein.

What does the thoracic duct drain and into what structure?

excess interstitial fluid, white blood cells, and some proteins

What is contained within Lymph?

Lymphatic vessels, lymph fluid, lymph tissue, and organs. The organs are the nodes, tonsils, spleen, thymus, and the thoracic duct.

What structures make up the lymphatic system?
