Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu- birth name Born August 26, 1910 in Balkans; died September 5, 1997 in Kolkata, India in 1928, 18 years old Mother Teresa left home to join Sisters of Loreto in Ireland where she could learn to become a missionary January 6, 1929 Mother Teresa went to Calcutta, India and taught at a St. Mary's school September 10th 1946 Jesus called her to "Radiate his love on souls."
