Binge Eating Disorder: Frequent episodes of large food consumption, but without the fear or behavior associated with weight gain prevention.They usually feel out of control and shame or guilt which causes them to eat alone.

A paleo diet consist mostly of eating meat, berries and nuts with few to no fruits or root vegetables. The other is a plant based diet where consuming any type of animal product is restricted and forbidden.

SNAP is Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and it is a government program that provides nutrition assistance to low-income individuals and families via monetary stipends. It is a food stamp program so that low-income people can purchase food.
Although there is wide variation in school lunches across the country, some school districts are doing a good job of providing nutritious meals to students. Compare and contrast the school and packed lunches presented in class.
School lunches are meant to meet the USDA nutrition guidelines and are therefore higher in fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Packed lunches are usually higher in fat and sugary foods and drinks and dont always meet the USDA nutrition guidelines.
Do you think the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet stem from the amount of fat consumed? Explain.
The benefits do stem from their fat intake, which is 40%, however the type of fat consumed is healthy fat; low in saturated and trans fat, high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, and omega 3 fatty acids. This directly affects cardiovascular health in that these types of healthy fats are associated with a lower LDL cholesterol.

The corporations shape policies that keep the food system profitable, even if they have a negative effect on the general public. Only a few companies control food production and these companies push for GE seeds and monocropping. These same companies also push for pesticide use that is only effective on their seeds.
