Superior Ramus of the Pubis

Bridge that connects the ilium to the pubis.

Pubic Symphysis

Connects both sides of the pelvic girdle together (connects coxal bones to create the pelvic girdle)

Ilium

Large Flattened portion on the upper half of the pelvic girdle

Iliac Fossa

Large dip on the ilium

Acetabulum

Large fossa where the femur articulates

Obturator Foramen

Large opening at the lower part of the pelvic girdle

Pelvic Brim

Large opening formed by the two coxal bones (both sides of the pelvic girdle)

Greater Sciatic Notch

Notch underneath the posterior inferior iliac spine

Ischial Spine

Point below the greater sciatic notch

Pubic Tubercle

Portion of the bone that touches/faces the pubic Symphysis

Inferior Ramus of the Pubis

Projects posteriorly from inferior part of the body of pubis to meet the Ramus of the ischium; forms part of the rim of the obturator foramen; muscle attachment site

Auricular Surface (Sacroiliac)

Rough patch next to the iliac fossa

Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine

Smaller point beneath beneath the anterior superior iliac spine

Anterior Superior Iliac Spine

Superior point along the iliac crest

Posterior Superior Iliac Spine

The point lateral to the anterior superior iliac spine

Iliac Crest

The rim of the iliac fossa

Ischial Tuberosity

a large rough protuberance on the inferior part of the posterior margin of the body of the ischium
