What are long term complications associated with ADT?
Increased fracture risk (get regular screenings and take calcium and vit D) Decreased muscle mas Increased risk of CVD and DM (Regular screening and exercise)
What is the treatment for a patient with prostate cancer who is castration naive with metastases?
LHRH agonist + antiandrogen OR LHRH antagonist OR LHRH antagonist PLUS abiraterone with prednisone OR LHRH antagonist PLUS docetaxel x 6 cycles
What does castration-naive mean?
Patient is not on Androgen Depravation Therapy (ADT) at the time of progression
What does castration resistant mean?
Prostate cancer that progresses clinically, radiographically, or biometrically despite castrate levels of testosterone
Supportive care for colon cancer
Zoledronic acid or denosumab (WITH CALCIUM AND VITAMIN D) to prevent skeletal complications in patients with bone metastases
