Script for Guyana

Gabby: The next day we went to the Iwokrama forest in Georgetown. It is very large and beautiful. We saw lots of waterfalls. We spent all day there. We even saw a Golden Frog! Which Sidney and I saw!

Gabby: Then we ended our vacation with a helicopter tour above the Pacaraima Mountains.

Gabby: Then, during the Napoleonic wars, the British overthrew the Dutch and took control of Guyana. They changed the name to British Guiana. That is why Guyana is the only English- speaking country in South America. The British began slavery because they needed workers for the plantations.

Gabby: Yeah. Guyana has so many rainforests. We wished we could have seen more rainforests, but at least we were able to see one.

Gabby: The center of the Garden used to be where the British hung slaves in the 1800's.

Gabby: You sneezed all over the lense of your camera while you were trying to take a picture.

Gabby: We planned to stay in Guyana for 6 days. Our plane landed in Georgetown, where we spent most of our time.

Gabby: Guyana's government is a republic. Their government is a lot like ours. It has an executive, legislative, and judicial branch. The current president is David A. Granger.

Q: like coconut. Gabby: Some of the popular foods in Guyana are red coconut rolls, dumplings, mithai, and cheese pies.
