Discuss the four P's of marketing, and give an example of each.
The four P's of marketing are product, price, place, and promotion. The product is an idea, service, or good that a facility has to offer to its prospective customers or clients. The price is how much the idea, service, or good is being exchanged for. The place is where the product is being sold at, also including how it arrives to the customer. The promotion is the way to get the product out and known about. The three primary types of promotion are advertising, publicity, and public relations. Say you are are selling toothpaste. An example of product would be the toothpaste. An example for price would be that you are selling it for three dollars a tube. The example in this scenario for place would be at the supermarket, grocery store, or gas station because that is where toothpaste is mainly sold at. For promotion, an example would be to advertise buy one tube of toothpaste at full price, get a second tube for half price.
