Attribution
Image that CAN'T be used in promotional or advertising materials because the public person, event, or place has the right to say how their image will be used. You must pay the celebrity or famous place to use their photo! Example: You can't just take a photo of a celebrity like Beyonce or the castle of Disney world to put on posters to advertise your product!
Editorial Photo
Images where copyright has expired or the creator has been dead for over 70 years. Example would be Leonardo Da'Vinci's Mona Lisa. Dude has been dead over 500 years....so you can use it! Since the creator is long gone, there ar3e no limits on how the photo can be used.
Public Domain (PD)
A contract in which the photographer grants specific rights to the client/buyer who wants to use their photo for something like an advertisement.

Royalty Free (RF)
Money given from one person to another that owns something which the first person wants to continuously use in books, movies, songs, advertisments, etc. Example: Universal Theme Park has to JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter book series, for using images from her story in the park!
Royalty Payment
Stock photography is existing photos -already created- made available for license by paying a fee to both the artists that produced them and the stock agencies managing them, acquiring the right to use them legally in different ways, while the author retains the copyright of their work.
