Japan is an island nation that has geographical features such as mountains and volcanoes, as well as little fertile land. Due to its availability to other countries, China was a much more modern and conventional country that had ideas that were well known around the world. Japan developed in its own way, as it was excluded from the rest of Asia. It was unique and had its own style and customs.
