channel lock pliers

Commonly used for turning and holding nuts and bolts, gripping irregularly shaped objects like round, square, flat and hexagonal objects, and clamping materials. The jaws can be set in up to five positions by slipping the curved ridge into the desired groove. Can apply limited torque (twisting force) without damaging the work.

long nose pliers

Commonly used to cut and bend small wires and electrical wiring, they have other uses, as well. They can bend, cut and grip where fingers and other tools are too big or clumsy. Used to grip small objects, reach awkward places, holding wires, bend loops, and attach

These knives allow you a lot more control than regular scissors. They're really useful for cutting super fiddly shapes out of paper, like for instance, a tree; things that don't have super straight lines or simple curves. It's much easier also to cut holes in the middle of the page, you know, away from the edge.

box cutter

This is truly a tool of a thousand uses. The thinness of its blade means it can be used for precise marking on cutoff work. The razor-sharp edge can cut through plastic, wood, and other fibers; it can be used to score soft metals. The utility knife is invalu¬able for tasks like hanging wallboard, trimming wallpaper, cutting cardboard or plastic sheets or ceiling tiles, and dozens of other jobs.

slip joint pliers

Used for gripping and bending hardware. They have two levels of teeth; the fine teeth located near the front are designed for gripping small objects and nails, while the coarse teeth located toward the back are designed for gripping bulky nuts and bolts.

single cut

Used for sharpening tools, finish filing and draw-filing. They are also the best tools for smoothing the edges of sheet metal.

lineman pliers

Used in the electrical trade to cut, straighten, and bend wire, and also to twist wires together when making splices. Use to grip, splice or cut wires, and strip insulation

pipe wrench

triangle file

Used on acute internal angles and to clear out square corners. It can also be used to sharpen saw teeth.

wire crimpers

nippers

Used to remove small amounts of a hard material, such as pieces of a tile which needs to be fitted around an odd or irregular shape. Use for cutting wires, nails, rivets close to work.

locking pliers

Used where more torque is needed to pry or remove objects or where added grip is needed for holding objects in place.

Jewelers screwdriver

Useful for fine work, such as electronics, eyeglasses, watches and jewelry.

ratcheting combination wrench

allows you to turn the wrench to tighten or untighten without having to remove and readjust the position if the wrench handle hits an obstacle after each turn. It makes working in tight areas a lot easier.

flare nut wrench

e wrenches are especially useful on softer metals prone to damage from open-ended wrenches, such as those used in plumbing.

rasp

for use on wood only, feature individually raised, extremely rough teeth. They cut very rapidly and are excellent tools for shaping wood.
