WWII->"packaged features"
after Dumbo was released in 1941 and made lots of money, the US entered WWII the US Army had the Disney staff create training and instructional films for the military from 1945-1955, Disney attempted to produce "packaged features" these were a group of short films put together to run the length of a feature these included animated shorts, including "Make Mine Music", "Melody Time, "Fun and Fancy Free", and many more.

after his death, Roy Disney returned from retirement in order to take over the studios he also opened the official Walt Disney World Resort in memory of his brother in October 1971 carried on the plans to build the Florida theme park, and it premiered in 1971 as Walt Disney World

at this point, Disney began his plans to build a new theme park in Florida- which never happened, because he developed lung cancer in 1966 from his lifelong habit of smoking cigarettes died in the hospital December 15th, 1966 in LA, California at age 65 a total of 81 features were released by the studio during Walt Disney's lifetime
