NANDA-I Nursing Diagnoses • Assessment - subjective & objective data • Diagnosis - identifying nursing diagnoses • Planning - pt outcomes & goals are developed • Including interventions • Implementation - activation of interventions • Evaluation - were outcomes met by nursing interventions? Revision of the plan (if pt outcomes not met)
Scope of Nursing Practice
• Entry level (Associates Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree) • Certification - specialization, shows expertise in specialty areas • Advanced practice (APRN) • Master's degree • Doctorate • (APRNs include clinical nurse specialists, NPs, nurse midwives and nurse anesthetists) • (DNP practice-focused terminal nursing degree) • (PhD - used as nurse faculty, clinical experts etc)
