Explain how the availability of resources in the environment is linked to exponential growth of a species

Exponential growth occurs when resources in the environment are abundantly available to a species

Compare and contrast exponential growth and logistic growth

Exponential growth usually is short lived and occurs when a population increases by a fixed percentage. In logistic growth, the population rises sharply at first, then levels out as the effects of limiting factors set stronger

Decribe the shape of graph curve indicating exponential growth and a graph indicating logistic growth.

Exponentional: J shape. Logic growth : S shape

Describe how you can recognize where the carrying capacity for a population occurs in a logistic growth curve

It occurs where the line patterns out curving upwards

Explain how the carrying capacity for the population can change over time

Limiting factors in nature change constantly, so the carrying capacity also changes. As more resources or space becomes available, the carrying capacity can increase. As predators increases or resources become less available carrying capacity can decrease.
